Recently, I made the positive change of going from “mom” to “mom + me.” Okay, so what does that mean??
It means that for the past 3 years, I had focused only on my child ~ which was totally fine!
I took it easy during a difficult pregnancy, I focused on our attachment during the newborn months, and I gave all my time and love and time (again! x-D) to my baby.
But things got out of balance.
Mom, yes. Me, yes!
As my baby grew into a toddler, I realized he needed more independence ~ and I needed to focus on more than just being a mom.
So, I began to blog 😊 I began to volunteer. I began to attend my church groups consistently. I also started reading again, prioritizing self-care, and eating well.
And I am having so much fun!! I feel soooo much better 🥰
And my toddler is having fun too, being more independent. And he knows that momma is never too far (that early attachment was so good for us!).
So, this change was positive for my entire family!
So, hello! I am a mom, but I am also myself 💖
Thank you so much for reading,
~ Maribelle🌹~
It is always hard to find that life balance when you have a little one. I, unfortunately, never found that balance and really hyperfocused on being “just a mom”. Looking back, I wish I took better care of myself.

A lot of times us moms can’t help but give so much of ourselves. We love our little ones! While caregiving, we need to be reminded to care for ourselves too 💖
